Founded by Greek settlers in the seventh century BC, Cyrene grew into one of the great cities of the ancient world, with a sanctuary of Apollo, a Greek theatre and a vast necropolis spilling down the escarpment. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the namesake of our company. Nearby are Apollonia, its ancient port, and the cliffs of Ras al-Hilal.
